Belgos offer one of the largest selections of Belgian beers in the UK. There are over 800 kinds of beer made in Belgium and the average Belgian consumes 150 litres of beer per person per year. Just to prove that Belgium does beer better than anybody else, the world's first beer academy opened in Herk-de-Stad, in the Belgian province of Limburg, in 1999.
Like French wine there's a lot to learn about Belgian beer. Obviously you don't have to be an expert to enjoy a pint of leffe (and don't worry - we won't be testing you), however, if you do feel the urge to know more here are few helpful links. So go grab yourself a pint and get reading..
